Powder Coating.
Five Year Standard guarantee.
What this guarantee covers: Corrosion from inside to out, paint fade and surface lift.
Work procedure includes blast cleaning, masking, a powder coat zinc-rich primer and finally
the topcoat.
Fifteen-Year Ultimate Protection guarantee.
What this guarantee covers: Corrosion from inside to out, paint fade and surface lift.
Work procedure includes blast cleaning, masking, application of Trimagard 19 black
phosphate coat, a powder coat zinc-rich primer, topcoat with a final clear coat finish
lacquer. This option will add a further 55% to the standard costs.
Ceramic Coating.
Two Year Standard guarantee.
What this guarantee covers: No burn, no surface lift or *corrosion*
Work procedure includes blast cleaning using clean virgin blast media, alcohol wash, preheating/drying out masking if required and finally the application of ceramic coating/s.
*Cast iron items.*
In order to offer our two-year guarantee for cast iron products as manifolds, turbo housings etc, we must apply a Titanium/alloy plasma metallization coat. This is an optional add on to the work and there will be a further charge made for this. It will be shown as an option on the quotation. This is charged at a discounted rate of 50% of our standard cost. Furthermore by applying this extra coat is will help in reducing further heat loss and also helps to hide some corrosion damage. The downside is, it will leave a slightly rough textured finish.
Please note Should you choose a colour with lower temperature tolerance that will not be suitable for your vehicle this will void your warranty. We will advise you of this at the time of order.
Cast Iron / Mild Steel Items
In order to offer our two-year guarantee for cast iron or mild steel products as manifolds, turbo housings etc, we must apply an alloy plasma metallization coat. This is an optional add on to the work and there will be a further charge made for this. It will be shown as an option on the quotation. This is charged at a discounted rate of 50% of our standard cost. Furthermore by applying this extra coat is will help in reducing further heat loss and also helps to hide some corrosion damage after blast cleaning. The downside is, it will leave a very slightly textured (sandpaper-like) finish.
Maldon Shot Blasting & Powder Coating Ltd is not the cheapest around, however, by paying that little extra you can rely on our quality of work and quality of materials. It pays dividends in the long-term.
Warranties are only offered on items that are in good condition. Should any problems be found during the work process we will inform you and advise the best way to proceed.
Terms of warranty.
Items must be cleaned regularly using suitable cleaning products.
Road salt/contamination should be removed as soon as possible.
Cleaners containing acids must not be used. No abrasive products such as T cut.
Warranties are only given on items that are in sound condition.
